Ca’s Xorc Wedding in Sóller, Mallorca: A Venue Guide
Sóller valley · Mallorca, Spain

Ca’s Xorc is an old olive oil mill on the hillside above Sóller, among lemon and olive groves in the Serra de Tramuntana. The historic finca became a small hotel in 1998, with a restaurant in the old mill and views down the valley to the sea.
I photographed a wedding at Ca’s Xorc, and while the couple’s photos stay private, I wanted to show you the place itself: the house, the courtyard, the garden and that view.
The Stone House and the Courtyard at Ca’s Xorc
The heart of Ca’s Xorc is the old stone house with its green shutters and arched wooden door, wrapped in climbing plants and pink bougainvillea. In front of it lies a cobbled courtyard with tables in the dappled shade of a big tree, and above it a terrace with a stone balustrade.
For dinner, the terrace seats up to 100 guests, and Barretes, the restaurant in the old oil mill, seats 86. Even the small things here look like a still life, like a silver tray of lemons on a stone table in the garden.

The Garden and the View over the Sóller Valley
Past the house, the garden opens up: a tall palm, a little pond with a white birdcage pavilion in the middle, and paths through olive trees to the edge of the hill, where the view runs over the terraced valley all the way to the sea.
The hotel also has a Moroccan tent in the garden that can host the ceremony, the aperitif or the dancing, and the garden and pool area can be part of the day as well.

“We were married recently at Ca’s Xorc on the Island of Mallorca. Lukas is incredibly talented: the composition, the light and the way he gets everyone to look so relaxed and happy. … His photos perfectly captured the laughter and love of our special day, and we’ll cherish them forever.”
