What do you need to get married in PARIS?
GETTING MARRIED IN Paris is actually quite complex
Most couples from abroad choose to have a civil ceremony in their home country and then have a symbolic elopement ceremony in Paris.
Here is what you need to know legally:
all marriages must be performed by a French civil authority in a town hall
01
You or your fiancé have to reside in France for at least 40 days before the marriage (click here for more information)
02
Avoid any complications during your wedding day by preparing all the paperwork at home
03
Make sure to bring your passport, birth certificate and other documentations (click here for more information)
04
And the most important thing that you need, would be a photographer that captures the beauty of your Paris elopement.
WHAT IS THE BEST TIME TO GET MARRIED IN Paris?
Summer

The beauty of DRY and warm weather
With an average of 27 million visitors per year, Paris is the most crowded city in the world, especially during summer.
But the warm and dry weather during summer is perfect for an outdoor elopement. I recommend booking a wedding venue that is usually less crowded during summer.
You can also take advantage of the sunlight, which usually lights up your day until 10pm. Or get up early to avoid the crowds in front of famous tourist attractions.
Winter

THE BEAUTY OF the FESTIVE HOLIDAY LIGHTS
If you are planning a winter elopement in Paris, then you will love having the least amount of tourists in winter.
This season has shorter days and wetter weather but also offers you sparkling and glowing festive holiday lights. Make sure to book an indoor wedding venue and enjoy your cozy and warm location with a view of the sparkling city.
Occasionally you will get snow which makes the city of love even more magical.
SPRING & AUTUMN

THE BEAUTY OF THE INBETWEEN
If you love milder weather and smaller tourist crowds, I recommend to visit Paris in April, October, September or early November. September and October sometimes even have lovely warm summer temperatures.
The temperatures can cool down quite a bit during the night, so make sure to bring warmer jackets if you are having your celebration in the evening and night time. Also be prepared for an occasional rain shower.
An indoor wedding venue with an outdoor option would be perfect for these seasons.
