What do you need to get married in SICILY?
GETTING MARRIED IN SICILY IS PRETTY EASY BUT THERE ARE SOME THINGS YOU NEED TO DO AS A FOREIGNER
Italy recognizes civil weddings and religious weddings from all faiths. Generally, these aspects apply to your wedding:
01
For non-Catholic religious weddings, a civil ceremony must be incorporated into the wedding
02
03
Bring both of your passports
04
Sometimes you need a birth certificate
If you are divorced, you need to wait 300 days; if you are a widow(er), you need to bring the certificate from your first marriage and the death certificate of your partner
05
06
Catholic ceremonies require a permit from the local pastor or a certificate of a pre-wedding
course
And the most important thing that you need, would be a photographer that captures the beauty of your Sicily Wedding.
WHAT IS THE BEST TIME TO GET MARRIED IN SICILY?

Summer
THE BEST TIME FOR pLENtY OF SUNSHINE
Summer time in Sicily offers you bright blue skies, beautiful colors and lots of sunshine. If you are planning a summer wedding in Sicily, I recommend to choose a venue along the coast to get gentle cooling breezes from the ocean.
You can also choose to get married in the early evening, when temperatures start to slowly drop down. An outdoor venue with lots of trees that provide shadow might also be a good option for your wedding.

Winter
THE BEST TIME FOR GOOD RATES
Winter months in Sicily are usually not that busy with local weddings. That’s why you can save up to 30% of your budget.
Sicily has some really cold weeks on mid-January to February, but overall, the winter months are relatively warm and sunny with temperatures up to 20° C.
If you are looking for unique wedding photos, then the citrus season with colorful lemons, mandarins and oranges might be just what you are looking for.

SPRING & AUTUMN
THE BEST TIME FOR MODERATE WEATHER
The weather in Sicily is still delightful during spring and autumn. After the summer heat you are still able to take a dip in the Mediterranean, sometimes even until November.
In early spring you can enjoy the blooming flowers, lush green fields and bursting nature. This season is perfect for an Italian countryside ceremony.
