I got married in Iceland myself.
I’m a wedding, elopement, engagement and proposal photographer and have photographed couples from all over the world in Iceland. So I know how to plan a wedding here through the eyes of a couple, and through the eyes of a photographer who knows the best locations, the hidden gems and how to structure a perfect day in Iceland.

About me
Why Iceland
For me, Iceland is the only country in the world where I can literally throw a dart onto the map, and wherever that dart lands, I know it’s going to be absolutely epic and breathtaking. There’s so much variety in such a small area: waterfalls and canyons, black sand beaches, volcanoes and so much more.
It’s also fairly easy to get married here as a foreigner, and you can pick almost any spot in the country for your ceremony. My wife and I picked a little abandoned canyon off the road and gave the GPS coordinates to our officiant. It was just us, no tourists in sight, and our closest family and friends.
I know the famous places and the hidden gems, when they get crowded, where the wind is calmer and where you can actually hear each other’s vows. Together we’ll find the balance between a breathtaking setting and a day that goes smoothly and safely.

Questions
Before you book
How do we book you and secure our date?
When you book me, a 50% booking deposit is due when you sign the contract. The rest can be paid any time before the elopement, by bank transfer or credit card. I work on a first come, first served basis, so your date is firmly secured once the deposit is paid.
When do you arrive in Iceland?
I usually arrive one or two days before the elopement to meet you. We can use this time to get to know each other, plan everything and even scout locations together.
Where in Iceland can we get married?
Almost anywhere. As a foreigner it is fairly easy to get married in Iceland with some simple paperwork, and you can pick nearly any spot in the country for an outdoor ceremony. My wife and I simply gave our officiant the GPS coordinates of a little canyon off the road. My Iceland guide walks you through the legal steps.
How long until we get our photos?
A number of preview images are ready within the first days after your elopement. The full gallery takes up to three months, sometimes less, and is delivered in a private online gallery in the highest quality, without watermarks, for you, your family and your guests.
What happens if you get sick?
In case of a higher force of nature, I have a number of backup photographers who provide the same high-quality work, and I still edit all of your images myself.
